Aloocha


This is an Indian snack made from potatoes and rice

Ingredients

250gm Potatoes or Aloo
2 tablespoon chopped onion
1 teaspoon chopped green chilli
½ teaspoon red chilli powder
½ teaspoon Dhania powder
½ teaspoon Garam masala
½ teaspoon chaat masala
2-3 tablespoon rice powder
Salt to taste
Oil for frying

For creating rice batter

Take the rice powder, add salt and water to create a mixture so that the patty can be dipped in it

Recipe

Boil potatoes and mash them
Add all the ingredients stated above to it except rice powder and mix well
Make a patty of it, dip it in the rice batter and deep fry it
Serve it hot with mint chutney or tomato ketchup

Daal Cheela


This is a light Indian snack which is high in nutritional value

Ingredients

½ cup Moong Dhuli Daal or lentil
2 tablespoon Besan or gram flour
½ teaspoon red chilli powder
½ teaspoon garam masala
3-4 tablspoon cottage cheese
2-3 fresh Dhania leaves
Salt to taste
Oil

For filling

Mash the cottage cheese and add salt, chilli powder, garam masala and dhania to it

Recipe

Soak daal in water for 3-4 hours and then make a paste of it in the mixer
Now add gram flour, salt, red chilli powder and garam masala to create batter
Take a non stick pan and use a big spoon to spread the mixture over it
When it gets golden brown add the filling to it and fold it into half
Serve it hot with mint chutney

Punjabi Masala Bhindi or Okra


This is an Indian food recipe which is popular in most parts of India. Here is the Bhindi recipe which has been created in Punjabi style

Ingredients

250gm Bhindi (Okra)
½ teaspoon red chilly powder
½ teaspoon garam masala
½ teaspoon Dhania powder
¼ teaspoon turmeric or haldi
¼ teaspoon amchur powder
Salt to taste
2 tablespoon mustard or extra virgin olive oil

Recipe

Wash the okra, wipe it and cut it into round pieces
Take oil in pan, heat it and add all the spices stated above
Now put lady finger to it and mix it
Allow it to cook for 5 to 7 minutes
Serve hot with chapatti or parantha
